Brett is Lily's loving and faithful boyfriend. After her accident, he rarely left her bedside and spoke to her as she slept. Following her recovery, he assists her in any way he can; offering to walk her home or make her a cup of tea. He deeply loves Lily, and vice-versa. However, their relationship begins to fall apart when Lily becomes hysterical and delusional due to her visions. Nonetheless, he does all he can to maintain his positive outlook and maintain their relationship. Unlike Lily, he never resorts to anger or violence; usually maintaining a calm and collective mind-set in the face of adversity (although he has displayed moments of panic, such as when being attacked by Lily). Despite Lily's descent into a sheer psychological breakdown, he attempts to convince her that she her visions are merely symptoms of her recovery form the accident and that she is simply delusional; being oblivious to the truth. His compassionate and relaxed nature were ultimately his downfall as he failed to see realise the danger that his girlfriend presented towards him; possibly allowing the vision to become true.
