Lily recently experienced a traumatic experience in which she was involved in an accident causing severe head injuries. resulting in her being comatose for a week. When she, awakes she discovers that she has developed the ability to foresee the death of an individual through physical contact with that person. This psychic ability is known as 'Death-Warning'. Her ability is presented as more of a curse than a gift as after foreseeing the death of her boyfriend (Brett) at her own hands, she begins to have a psychological breakdown, resulting in rather irrational and hysterical behavior. Despite what she had foreseen in her vision she remains adamant that she wouldn't kill Brett, and undergoes a psychological battle to prevent herself from doing so. It is ambiguous as to whether she is successful or not.
